Graduated EMT-B certified from an Allied Health/Magnet high-school where I was awarded the Citizenship Award and competed in both state and national Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) competitions.

Began college at University of Maryland, College Park (woot woot!) as a Biology and Criminology & Criminal Justice double major.
2013

Changed my major to solely Criminology and Criminal Justice to have the opportunity to incorporate more non-science classes into my course load.
2014

Participated in the Summer Medical and Dental Education Program (SMDEP) (now the Summer Health Professions Education Program -- SHPEP) at New Jersey Medical School – one of the moments where I realized the role of the nurse resonated with me the most.
2015

Studied Public Health abroad in Manipal, India! I had the opportunity to learn more about maternal and child health in India while comparing and contrasting health practices in the U.S. and India.

Registered for a University of Maryland Public Health course where guest speaker, Vickye Hayter, RN, explained how she lowered the infant mortality rate in Santa Clara, CA through her role as a Registered Nurse. Applied to nursing school a day later.

Became involved my the school's Student Government Association and was elected as the student liaison for the Student Services Committee.

Attended my first New Jersey Nursing Students, Inc. convention. I went to their delegate meeting and was nominated and elected as the Breakthrough to Nursing Director.
2017

Presented my Breakthrough to Nursing presentations to elementary schools in New Jersey.

Won "Most Successful Breakthrough to Nursing Project" from the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) for my project: "Breakthrough to Nursing: Inspiring Our Youth".

Elected as the 2017-2018 President (hey now!) of New Jersey Nursing Students, Inc.
2018

Graduated from the most challenging educational journey to date and PASSED the NCLEX-RN two weeks after graduation!

Successfully led New Jersey Nursing Students, Inc.'s 66th Annual convention and completed my term as President.

Launched my website/blog! <3

Took 9 months post graduation to spend time with family, travel, practice self-care, and live more intentionally.

Began working on a emergency room observation/telemetry/post cardiac catheterization/ medical-surgical/ stroke unit & completed my 14 week orientation.
